September marks the start for many new things. School is one of them. University for me. And along with a brand new notebook to use as my bullet journal, I decided to set myself some Querter Goals. Just to see if I’m up for it, if this is something I can and I want to do. Something I can follow.
*fingers crossed*
I know that I shouldn’t aim too high and be realistic with my goals. Be just enough of an over-achiever without it being ridiculous. Things that will make me want to push myself, but not break myself. I’m not one for breaking. I like myself whole, as I am.
There are three months in this Quarter, September, October and November. One of them, is Nanowrimo month so I’ll have to take this into serious consideration. I also want to edit two of my short stories and maybe start on the second round of editing for my novel. Outline a new story for Nanowrimo… Well things are adding up.
Let’s make a list. I like lists.
- 1 round of edits for “Fool’s Errand”.
- 1 round of edits for “The Duchess”.
- Outline a new story for Nanowrimo.
- Win Nanowrimo.
- 1 round of edits for “Descent”.
- Pass my Russian Exam in September.
- Try and attend classes at least 3 out of 5 days a week. (that’ll be a win for me -_- )
Let’s break it down a little more though, shall we? I need to be able to see what I have to do in a month.
I know the “Fool’s Errand” is not a long story, so I can do it in September, between exams. Also the Russian Exam is in September.
For October, I have to outline the new story for sure and do the edits for “The Duchess”. As it stands right now, I don’t see it being possible that I’ll do more edits on Descent. I think I’ll leave this for the next Quarter. I can do it in December during the holidays maybe, when I’ll have more free time.
And of course the last Goal is more of an on-going thing when University starts in October. And everything Nanowrimo will happen in November.
September:
- 1 round of edits for “Fool’s Errand”.
- Pass my Russian Exam in September.
October:
- 1 round of edits for “The Duchess”.
- Outline a new story for Nanowrimo.
- Try and attend classes at least 3 out of 5 days a week.
November:
- Enter Nanowrimo.
- Win Nanowrimo
1 round of edits for “Descent”. (Maybe if I have time I’ll poke at it)
So these are my plans for the upcoming three moths. December, We’ll have to find out how much I failed and how much I actually did. I’m looking at you university. I’m looking at you.
